The color of a diamond depends on the combination of three main aspects:
hue: the first impression of a color, the basic color of an object
tone: a color's degree of darkness or lightness
saturation: a color strength or intensity, ranging from a dull hue to a pure, vivid hue
Diamonds occur in all the colors, even if the most common ones are colorless or near colorless.
